ABOUT:
The Quinn Driscoll Memorial Citizenship Award was established to honor the life and legacy of Quinn Driscoll.
Quinn Driscoll was a member of the Cardinal football program for three years. He was known for his athleticism, sportsmanship, and citizenship on, and off the field. Quinn was the epitome of the All American son, brother and friend. On June 10, 2009 Quinn suddenly and tragically passed away while running track in his 8th grade P.E. class at WyEast Middle School.
It was subsequently determined the cause was due to an undetected heart condition called; hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM is the leading cause of death in young athletes as it is not usually detected in otherwise healthy individuals.
The family of Quinn Driscoll has established the Quinn Driscoll Foundation in his honor. The mission of the foundation is the education and prevention of sudden cardiac arrest in young people.
